Escape to the country in this fisherman's cottage right on the beach. The home has been tastefully redecorated, featuring rustic wood flooring and accents, a cosy fireplace, beamed ceilings, light touches of colour, and panoramic views. The building is a 1715 fisherman's cottage, so expect low ceilings and small windows looking onto the Main St. At the back, the house has been extended, so the windows are large, looking onto our deck with the sea-wall at the end of the garden. There's a low wall between ours and the neighbours' houses. The kitchen is large and equipped for living, not just holidaying. So if you have gastronomic ambitions, go wild: it's a pleasure to cook and eat in as you watch the light change over the sand-dunes. The living-room is low-beamed, so watch your head. There's a gas fire for cosiness without hassle, 2 armchairs and a big sofa, with loads of cushions on all of them. The TV is a 46-inch SmartTV, so with the fibre internet (40 Mb/s) you can stream Netflix, iPlayer, etc. Upstairs, the twin room faces over the main street. The beds have memory-foam mattresses, velvet headboards and their own reading lamps. There's a big chest of drawers for your clothes. The double room has a built-in wardrobe, kingsize bed with antique wood-panelled headboard and memory-foam mattress. It also has a huge bay window looking out to sea. There's a small en-suite with toilet and shower. We've just refurbished the family bathroom, so it's immaculate with rainfall shower, bath and underfloor heating. You'll have the place to yourself. It is a great area for bird watching and walking. The property is in Ravenglass with its steam railway and Roman ruins. There are pubs, a supermarket, tea rooms, and much more nearby. Parking: we have space for one car at the front of our house. If you bring a second car, there is free parking at the station, which is a 2-minute walk. Trains: Ravenglass is well-known for its trains, with 2 stations. As well as being on the coastal line that runs from Carlisle round to Lancaster, it is home to the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. This is a narrow-gauge line that runs 11km (7 miles) up Eskdale through splendid scenery. Beautiful steam and diesel engines run, and it's perfect for letting everyone in your group enjoy an end-of-walk pint or three.

The large master bedroom is supremely comfortable and a pretty twin room is perfect for additional guests. MASTER BEDROOM: The master bedroom is spacious and peaceful with two tall seaside windows catching the coastal light through the changing phases of the day. GUEST BEDROOM: The guest bedroom is furnished with 2 small single beds (190cm L x 80cm W x 40cm H) made of a solid oak wood frame and quality hypoallergenic mattresses and superior bedding. The Chocolate-Box is located in the quaint seaside town of Aldeburgh which is nestled along the picturesque Suffolk Heritage Coast. Aldeburgh is situated on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. Beautiful countryside and villages surround the town. Art and music festivals are held throughout the year. For up to date and detailed information on getting around by train, bus, taxi services, and tours, The Aldeburgh Tourist Office is the best source for information. They are very friendly and helpful. DIRECTIONS AND PARKING Arrive in Aldeburgh from any direction and drive south along Aldeburgh High Street, past the Fish & Chips shop. Turn left onto Hertford Place and Brudenell Street will be the first street on the right just before you reach the sea. PARKING There is very good availability of free on-street parking in this area of Aldeburgh, even in peak seasons. Typically, parking is available within 10 seconds from the cottage front door. (Easter, May, Spring, Summer bank holidays and 4 days of Aldeburgh Carnival in August are the exception and one may need to park 1-5 minutes from the cottage). The pink sunsets are amazing too. Discover one of the best sandy beaches in England, or walk along the Viking Coastal Trail. You can walk everywhere in Margate. There is free parking on the street outside, but if it's busy there is Trinity Square car park around the back of the property which is £5 for 24 hours. We are pet friendly!
