A peaceful, breathtakingly beautiful retreat. The photos didn't do justice both to the home itself and the countryside. The home was clean, spacious and well-appointed. The area was so quiet that, when a crow flew over us on the back patio, we could hear its wings beat. Yes. THAT quiet. Just the wind and the wildlife. This is a village of astronomers, though, so don't come here to party. When you're surrounded by homes that are equipped with observatories, there's a respectful responsibility to keep your own light pollution to a minimum. We used red light flashlights when we were stargazing outside (cheap to get on amazon) and kept the blinds closed when we used lights inside at night. The stars at night ...if you've never seen a *truly* dark sky, you will be overwhelmed at the majesty of it. Seeing the arm of the Milky Way surrounded by infinite star s is a new highlight of my life's travels.

The tiny home was just as described. It was simple but tastefully decorated. We arrived late and Tracy was kind to meet us there to greet us and gave us some instructions. Everything was clean. We appreciated the extra flash lights. The memory foamed bed was very comfortable. Thank you for the organic coffee in the morning 👍🏼 with bottled alkaline water. We wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the birds feeding on the bird feeder.

The cottage is a beautiful 2 bedroom place that seems newly renovated. It had everything we needed. Bring your own food. There’s a full kitchen and it is a long way to any restaurants. But do stop in Willcox on your way in to check out the wineries. Chiricahua National Monument is well worth a visit and high desert dreams cottage is the perfect place to stay during your visit to the monument. Diana was a great guide, showing us on a park map some of the better hikes and attractions. And her dog and s the perfect cottage ambassador. Super friendly but well trained not to go inside. Don’t miss out on stepping out at night to star gaze. Nonligh pollution means perfect star gazing! We loved every part of our stay here.
